Running My First 10K for Children Who Deserve More

At the start of this year, I set myself two simple intentions: to take up running as a hobby and to contribute more meaningfully to social causes. 

On April 26, I’ll be running my very first TCS World 10K in Bengaluru. I can’t think of a better way to bring both these intentions together than by running with purpose. For this milestone, I want every step I take to stand for something meaningful, supporting a cause that is close to my heart: helping marginalized children stay in school and pursue their dreams.

I’ve chosen to run for CRY (Child Rights and You) because I strongly believe that education is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Education builds confidence, fuels curiosity, and opens up choices. It empowers children to ask questions, discover their potential, and imagine a future for themselves. No child should be denied this opportunity because of their circumstances.

Since 1979, CRY has been working to create lasting change in children’s lives and is recognised as one of India’s most trusted NGOs. Through the TCS World 10K, CRY aims to raise ₹50,00,000 to support children’s education, innovation, and equal learning opportunities. Your support can help ensure that classrooms remain accessible, learning continues, and childhoods are filled with hope and possibility.

Impact in numbers:

  • ₹2,400 - ensures a child receives age-appropriate digital learning access
